Mangaon Taluka Education Society’s Doshi Vakil Arts College and G. C. U. B. Science and Commerce College was established in the year 1998 to explore higher education opportunities to the students from hilly region and surrounding villages. It is matter of pride for us that the several students completed their graduation in the last decade and have acquired respectable positions in the society, government sector and private sector.
The college has been conceived as a dream to provide education to all strata of society and it has been steadfastly doing so for the last 16 years. The college is affiliated to Mumbai University with a solemn commitment with addressing the needs of a dynamic society. The biggest challenge faced by education is to prepare students for the challenges of a globalized world. Students of today face a world that continually demands new knowledge and abilities; a world that requires the students to become adaptable, life- long learners in an ever changing scenario of new skills and competencies.
The importance of instilling good values in our students is our prime objective. For the college, education and character are the basic foundations and it is laid by the morality, empathy, motivation, positive attitude and endless enthusiasm. The core purpose of the college is to inspire students to disc1sover their unrevealed potential and to take them from their ‘dreams to destiny’. Our college believes that an individual will come to possess an adoring personality only by involving himself or herself in co-curricular activities.
